Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective: 2026-09-29

This policy explains when you can get money back and how cancelling works. It never limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Refunds in the first 14 days

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of paying for a site's first subscription period.

  • Monthly plan: we refund the part of the allowance you have not used: amount paid × (unused pieces ÷ pieces in your plan). Example: Starter at $39 with 4 of 15 pieces used → $39 × 11/15 = $28.60.
  • Annual plan: we refund the amount paid minus the value of the pieces used in the first month: amount paid − (amount paid ÷ 12) × (pieces used in month one ÷ monthly allowance). Example: Starter annual at $429 with 6 of 15 pieces used → $429 − $35.75 × 0.4 = $414.70.

The calculation always uses what you actually paid, after any discount.

What counts as used: a piece is used once its first draft has been delivered to you for review. Pieces that failed, that you cancelled before writing started, or that Rankshoot agreed were not what you asked for are never counted. Onboarding (importing your site, your business profile and the starting measurements) is free and has no refund value.

Renewals are not refundable, but work we fail to deliver is always credited back to your allowance.

How refunds are paid

We refund in the currency you paid in, to the original card or wallet where our payment provider allows it, otherwise by bank transfer to an account in the name of the invoiced customer — confirmed from the account owner's email, never to a third party. Payment providers usually keep their fee on a refund; bank charges on a transfer are shown to you before we send it.

What happens after a refund

The refunded site's subscription ends immediately and Rankshoot stops writing to that site. You keep everything already delivered or published. The app stays readable for 30 days so you can export your content; drafts not yet delivered are discarded.

Cancelling

  • Monthly: cancel at any time. The service continues until the end of the period you paid for; after the 14-day window there is no partial refund.
  • Annual: cancelling stops the next renewal. The service continues until the end of the year you paid for; after the 14-day window there is no partial refund.

Asking for a refund

Write to [to be confirmed] from the account owner's email address with the site and invoice concerned. We confirm the amount within 5 working days and send it once you agree.
